As a Receptionist at the National Bank of Canada you will provide valuable support to our team of financial professionals. Serving as the first point of contact for our clients and visitors, you will perform a variety of administrative tasks that contribute to the smooth day-to-day operations of our office. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Your job

  • Greet and welcome clients, visitors, and employees in a warm, professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area at all times.
  • Perform clerical duties, filing, data entry, scanning, and copying.
  • Manage office inventory, order supplies, coordinate grocery and catering orders.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls; take accurate messages and route inquiries to the appropriate departments.
  • Process all incoming and outgoing mail, courier deliveries, and packages.
  • Manage Outlook inboxes and ensure emails are handled appropriately and promptly.
  • Support general scheduling needs as required.
  • Coordinate logistics for internal and external meetings, including conference room bookings, catering arrangements, and preparation of printed or bound materials.
  • Assist bank operations, HR, and administrative teams with various ad hoc tasks and projects.
  • Ensure compliance with office safety protocols and OSHA regulations, including maintaining proper documentation.

Your team

You will be part of a team of the US Operations team reporting to Operations Manager. This role interacts with several teams, including Treasury, Accounting, Billing, Sales & Trading, Client Service, Operations, Compliance, and Technology.

You can access personalized training content on such topics as banking solutions and the advisory approach to support your ongoing learning.  You’ll also have access to colleagues with a wide range of expertise, experience and backgrounds to enrich all aspects of your development.

Basic Requirements

  • Proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes or office supplies weighing up to 25 lbs.

In compliance with all states and cities that require transparency of pay, the base annual salary range for this position is: $58,000 - $68,000

This position is eligible for variable compensation.
