A career as a Senior Process and Transformation Advisor in the Financial Markets Operations (FMO) Counterparty Documentation Center team at National Bank involves acting as an expert to improve and transform business processes, contribute to resolving complex issues, propose strategies to support project realization, and continuously improve processes. Your quick understanding of business requirements, experience in prioritizing initiatives, proactivity, curiosity to learn, and knowledge of Agile methodology will positively impact the transformation of our Financial Markets Operations sector.

Your role

  • Contribute to and/or take charge of the delivery of business initiatives by operationalizing, simplifying, or automating Financial Market Operations processes 
  • Identify business needs, manage the impacts on Financial Markets Operations, and recommend the most optimal solutions 
  • Play a key role by collaborating with our partners (IT, Financial Markets, Compliance) to influence the evolution of transformation initiatives and communicate the Operations vision effectively
  • Play a key role in governance and data intelligence 
  • Oversee improvements to help teams support Financial Markets growth
  • Achieve efficiency objectives by leading and actively contributing to the delivery of initiatives
  • Identify specific needs related to the business reality of Financial Markets

Your team

As part of the FMO Counterparty Documentation Center team, you will be on a team of 40 colleagues, and you will report to the Senior Manager. Our team stands out for its commitment, its strong collaboration and complicity as well as its ability to work on several major initiatives at the same time.

Prerequisites

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant experience or Master's degree and 6 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of systems used for financial markets operations and Jira, Confluence, PowerBI  
  • Knowledge of financial instruments: understanding of financial products and associated transaction processes
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high performance standards
  • Experience in IT project delivery, agile methodology and process automation, and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated strong leadership and influence in delivering / deploying initiatives
  • Proven change management skills

English, French
Reason to require this language: you will need to work closely with our colleagues outside Quebec.
