Your role

In this key role, you will play an active part in strengthening client engagement by leading the deployment and on-the-ground activation of events, sponsorships, partnerships, and donation initiatives for the Commercial and Private Banking 1859 sector in Ontario. Fully aligned with the national line of business strategy, you will tailor and adapt priorities to reflect Ontario’s regional context – providing strategic recommendations and ensuring rigorous execution. Your objective is clear: drive business value, support brand visibility, and elevate client impact.

Your responsibilities:

Events and sponsorships – Execution and evolution of the approach

  • Plan and deliver event and sponsorship initiatives for the Commercial and Private Banking 1859 sector in Ontario, with a strong focus on execution excellence, client experience, and business relevance.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the sector’s event and sponsorship approach by integrating emerging trends, market best practices, and innovative activation strategies.
  • Be present on the ground during events to foster relationship-building, participant engagement, and business development opportunities.

Negotiation, management, and activation of sponsorships and partnerships

  • Negotiate and manage donation, sponsorship, and strategic partnership agreements for the sector, ensuring all activations are coherent and aligned with business-line priorities.
  • Build trusted relationships with professional associations, networks, partners, and key centres of influence relevant to the Ontario market.

Ongoing performance measurement

  • Continuously measure the impact of sponsorships, partnerships, and events for Commercial and Private Banking 1859, assessing both engagement and business outcomes.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to refine approaches, optimize investments, and strengthen the effectiveness of initiatives over time.

Collaboration with leaders and the sales force

  • Work closely with regional leaders and business-line sales teams in Ontario to ensure a strong understanding of local issues, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Act as a strategic advisor, recommending formats, orientations, and activations that enhance client engagement and support business priorities.

Contribution at the national level

  • Contribute to the evolution of the sector’s national sponsorship, partnership, donation, and event strategy, offering insights grounded in Ontario market realities.
  • Play an active role within a panCanadian sector squad, promoting the sharing of learnings, successes, and inspiring practices across regions.

Your team:

You will join the Strategy and Growth team within the Commercial and Private Banking 1859 sector. This multidisciplinary team is recognized for its excellence, collaborative spirit, and strong ability to adapt. You’ll thrive in a dynamic environment that emphasizes learning through action, supported by robust training programs and the diverse expertise and backgrounds of the team.
