A career as a senior analyst in the Custody Operations team at National Bank is an opportunity to put your expertise to work in the evolution and execution of the Financial Markets and Wealth Management business strategy. With your involvement in the various processes related to the settlement of securities transactions, you participate in the transformation of the Bank.

Being an analyst in Operations means collecting, analyzing, and interpreting a variety of data. It is also to interact with the different sectors of the Bank and more experienced professionals to offer support to stakeholders in the daily operations. 

Your job 

  • Act as a data specialist, develop an in-depth knowledge of Operations performance data, in constant interrelationship with the various stakeholders.
  • Analyze Operations data to identify opportunities, optimize processes, and support the organization's strategic goals.
  • Collaborate in the design, preparation, and maintenance of advanced dashboards, analytics, and reports to facilitate proactive decision-making.
  • Create and maintain data pipelines to ensure a continuous flow of actionable insights for decision-making teams.
  • Present insights from data in a clear and concise way.
  • Take charge of documenting procedures and updates.
  • Plan projects in the team.
  • Strategic planning for the team.
  • Act as a resource person for business line account managers, internal and external portfolio managers and other operational teams.
  • Help build the Custodial Operations Center of Excellence.

Your team

You will be part of a large team of 17 colleagues who value customer satisfaction, performance, collaboration and innovation and will report to the Manager of Custody Operations.

Prerequisites

  • College diploma or equivalent, related to the industry and three years of relevant work experience OR any other combination of education and experience considered equivalent
  • Knowledge of financial markets business processes
  • Knowledge of G+ application
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI
  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to communicate issues effectively
  • Experience in continuous improvement, desirable
  • Knowledge of financial concepts, an asset

Languages:
English, French
