A role as a Wealth Insurance Advisor at the National Bank of Canada means working collaboratively to help our clients achieve their financial goals. With your passion, exceptional customer service, and attention to detail, you evaluate insurance requests from investment advisors to ensure appropriate types and levels of coverage, including making recommendations and ensuring follow-up.

Your role
  • Managing back-office insurance requests such as agent changes, customer service management, registration and licensing, insurer codes, and business book transfers.
  • Ensuring insurance policy requirements are met and managing the CRM.
  • Providing assistance and advice to internal staff regarding insurance policy coverage and general insurance inquiries.
  • Managing the insurance policy renewal process.
  • Creating and modifying procedures, maintaining insurance-related records and documents up to date.
  • Collaborating with legal and compliance sectors to ensure proper coordination of legal actions.
  • Providing assistance and advice to internal staff regarding insurance requirements for various contracts as needed.
  • Connecting with an external insurance provider, if necessary.
Your team

Within the insurance support team at National Bank Financial, you ensure that our partners consistently deliver service that meets all quality, compliance, and risk management requirements in place. In this role, you work closely with a group of seasoned insurance experts daily.

Upon starting your position, you will undergo a training program based on practical learning that will familiarize you with your role, your work sector, and your teammates.

Prerequisites
  • Bachelor's degree and four years of relevant experience OR Master's degree and one year of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and its application to insurance policies and practice.
  • Knowledge and experience in CRM processing, insurance company back-office service, pricing processes, and insurance delivery.
  • Experience in customer service/advisory roles.
  • Demonstrating excellent customer service, organizational, prioritization, time management, problem-solving, communication, and customer satisfaction assessment skills.
  • Holding a financial security advisor title/license is an asset.
  • Good knowledge of Equisoft/Centralize systems is an asset
