We are in search of an enthusiastic Paralegal, adept at navigating tight deadlines, and eager to foster personal growth within a vibrant and multidisciplinary team.

Your role:

  • :
    • Ensure seamless coordination of transactional activities with internal legal counsel, the front office, and the operations teams from inception to completion including system input verifications.
    • statistics for senior management and prepare invoices for payment.
    • Provide general administrative support to the legal team, including managing correspondence, documenting procedures and maintaining organized records.
  • :
    • Responsible for organizing legal documentation related to financial transactions within the context of financial markets, and overseeing the execution (signature process), communication and archiving of finalized agreements.
    • Proactively assist internal legal counsel in drafting legal agreements and ensure smooth communication with account managers.
    • Support the lawyers by participating in ad-hoc initiatives including organizing and maintaining documentation and helping implement necessary adjustments to legal processes.
  • Efficiency Optimization:
    • Proactively seek and implement opportunities to streamline processes, enhance workflow efficiency, and improve overall operational effectiveness within the legal department.
    • Be driven to identify areas for improvement and take the initiative to propose and execute solutions.

Your team: 

As part of the Capital Markets and Treasury Risk Management sector, our team comprises seven lawyers. Operating across Montreal, Toronto, Calgary, New York, Dublin, London, and Hong Kong, we negotiate and manage key transactional financial contracts with the Bank's clients globally.

Prerequisites:

  • College degree in paralegal studies
  • Experience in commercial finance, secured transactions or corporate law an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously and prioritize effectively
  • Proficiency in Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel).
  • Demonstrate autonomy, rigor, and method in your work.
  • Exhibit strong teamwork skills.

English, French
Reason to require this language: you will need to work closely with our colleagues outside Quebec.
