A career as a Chief Application Analyst in the Wealth Management IT Delivery team at National Bank means acting as a systems specialist through your analytical and support skills and your knowledge of the investment field that you have a positive impact on the client/employee/user experience.

Our mission is to ensure the availability, stability, security and continuous improvement of Wealth Management applications, and to constantly listen to and serve our users and clients.  As an Application Analyst, you will work with our developers, architects and designers, business lines, and technology experts to implement, test, and deliver new features and products to our customers.

Your role 

  • Work with the Bank's teams and external suppliers to ensure the prevention, detection, and resolution of application failures.
  • Analyze and qualify evolving requests and application support from our users, internal or external partners.
  • Ensure the collection and documentation of user needs, the decomposition of tasks, the estimation of efforts, and the implementation of new software features incrementally using Agile methodologies.
  • Work according to the delivery priorities agreed upon as a team, focused on business value.
  • Ensure good IT hygiene of the application park under the responsibility of our sector.
  • Work independently to analyze and resolve system-related issues.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (business line, developers, business analysts, architects, etc.) to develop, implement and test new functionalities (functional, regression and technical tests).
  • Analyze system processes and propose solutions to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Organize and lead meetings on needs assessment, case diagnosis, training and change management.
  • Be the link between business lines, technology teams and support teams.
  • Update existing documentation, and develop new documents as required.
  • Review project status and issues with project management.

Prerequisites

  • Bachelor's degree or other degree related to the sector of activity and several years of relevant experience.
  • Technical experience in analysis, technical support or incident management.
  • Experience in managing stakeholders, particularly in collaboration with suppliers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services (EKS, EC2, Lambda, Terraform) is an asset.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools: Datadog, Splunk, an asset.
  • Good knowledge of investment products and the business and operational processes surrounding them, an asset.
  • Knowledge of the OSS suite, Doxim and Secure Zone, an asset.
  • Ability to coordinate resources and activities during incidents.
  • Knowledge of collaborative work tools: Jira, Confluence, MS Office365.
  • Knowledge of initiative and operations management methodologies: Agile (Scrum, Kanban), ITIL, DevOps, or others.
  • Understanding of the delivery cycle/incident and problem management lifecycle is desirable.
  • Demonstrate leadership, influence, initiative, rigor, autonomy and be a team player.
