A career as a Software Development Manager in a team specializing in digital technology responsible for information sites and digital analytics event management for National Bank of Canada means managing a team of 8 information technology specialists. It is through your coaching skills, your expertise in information technology and your digital knowledge that you have a positive impact on the digital experience of National Bank clients.

Your job:
  • Coach and contribute to the development of team members at different levels of seniority.
  • Be responsible for team leadership and delivery of technology projects, maintenance, evolutions and changes while fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Contribute to the definition of the team's technological strategic vision while participating in the team's continuous improvement and transformation plans.
  • Be responsible for sharing information with stakeholders regarding the progress of the initiative and the status of the solution, and influence them by effectively sharing the deployment vision and complex situations
  • Be responsible for cutting and sequencing a target vision in order to maximize value delivery by taking into account constraints and interdependencies with other projects or sectors, to achieve the business vision and prioritize the MVP (minimum viable product) to the delivery team based on business value.

Within the IT sector, you are part of the delivery of banking and digital services and report to the Senior Digital Director.

Prerequisite:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing a development team either as a team lead or director
  • Experience in delivering technology projects
  • In-depth knowledge of software engineering best practices and Java
  • Technical problem-solving and coaching skills
  • Knowledge of the digital domain and security requirements specific to the front end.
