A career as an Executive Assistant within the Commercial Banking – British Columbia team at National Bank means acting as a trusted partner to seasoned leaders by supporting strategic activities, operational coordination, and smooth communication. This role allows you to have a positive impact on our organization through your strong organizational skills, your ability to anticipate needs, and your experience in executive support.

Your role
  • Ensure proactive management of calendars, priorities, and follow-ups for one or more members of senior leadership to support effective decision-making.
  • Coordinate the logistics related to business meetings, team meetings, and provincial initiatives, including travel arrangements, agendas, and related communications.
  • Act as a central point of contact for teams across the province, facilitating information flow and supporting collaboration among internal partners.
  • Support the preparation and follow-up of confidential files, ad hoc projects, and cross-functional initiatives aligned with business priorities.
  • Contribute to the planning and organization of internal events (e.g., in-person management meetings) in collaboration with other executive assistants.
  • Anticipate potential issues related to timelines, priorities, or workload and propose practical solutions to support the day-to-day activities of the leaders you assist.

The Commercial Banking – British Columbia team includes more than 130 specialists who work in an agile, proactive, and collaborative manner to seize opportunities, stay attuned to team needs, and continuously improve ways of working.

Within the sector, you are part of a large team spread across the province and report to the Vice President and Head, Commercial, British Columbia. Prerequisites
  • Hold a college diploma in a related field and have three to five years of relevant experience
  • Have significant experience providing administrative support to managers or members of senior leadership
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and digital platforms used in an executive management environment
  • Have experience in logistical coordination, complex calendar management, and organizing business meetings
  • Have experience managing complex and confidential administrative files
  • Be available for occasional local travel to support events or team meetings
