As an Analyst of the Retail loans settlement (HVAR) management team at National Bank, you’ll act as a specialist supporting clients in financial difficulty.

With your file analysis skills, your active listening and capacity to take charge, through your influence and negotiations skills combined with your product knowledge, you’ll have a positive impact on minimizing our retail credit loss risks.  

Your role

  • Ensure the good management of a high value risk portfolio of clients in financial difficulties by performing complete analysis, application of diverse strategies and advanced collection techniques to define the proper solutions and regularize default accounts.
  • Listen to customer needs, resolve sometimes complex situations, and propose appropriate solutions to restore chronic default situations related to the account.
  • Ensure individual and collective accountability for results of its portfolio and the sector.
  • Participate in the optimization of activities and processes to win efficiency and reduce losses.
  • Identify credit risks, reputational risks and/or operational and compliance risks in accordance with established norms and regulatory requirements.

Your team

As part of the High-risk loan management sector, you’ll be on a team of 20 and you’ll report to the management unit- secured and unsecured retail loans director.  

Our team stands out for its expertise in high-risk file management, by its quality to reduce losses linked retail loans entering recoverythrough its diverse interactions with our clients and partners, by its high decisional autonomy and team collaboration.

The team follows a work schedule from Monday to Friday and has a hybrid environment to promote a great personal life-work balance.

Our sector encompasses all settlement and recovery teams for retail and commercial files. Therefore, it is possible to continue your evolution internally if interested. We offer a wide range of ongoing learning opportunities for your development, including hands-on learning and collaborating with colleagues who have varied expertise and profiles.

Prerequisites

  • Technical degree related to the sector of activity and 2 years of pertinent experience.
  • Bilingualism (spoken/ written) French and English
  • Experience in settlement and recovery, an asset
  • Great autonomy and rigor in the processing of files
  • Sense of organisation and good priority management
  • Relationship skills and capacity to work in a team.
Languages:
English, French
Reason to require this language: you will need to serve clients who speak a language other than French regularly.
