 As a Regional Analyst or Regional Associate (depending on experience) you will proactively identify and qualify Investment Advisors for the sale of NBC structured products. Through sales activities (calls, emails, digital interactions, marketing campaigns, etc.) you will increase awareness and recognition of NBC’s structured products in the market and graduate high potential, qualified prospects up the segmentation ladder.

This position offers two opportunities: one in Montreal and one in Toronto

Your role:

  • Make proactive sales and business development phone calls according to activity targets
  • Actively participate in the business development of the Regional Directors (Outside Wholesalers) territories, specifically qualifying and graduating prospects, in order to meet sales objectives/targets
  • Create, execute and evaluate ongoing sales campaigns
  • Ensure high-quality client service and interactions, focusing primarily on new supporters and prospects/leads, while also engaging with select clients identified by the Regional Directors (Outside Wholesalers).
  • Participate in training activities to remain an effective resource person in terms of both products and the market in general

Your team:

You will be based in Montreal or Toronto and working in partnership with Regional Directors (Outside Wholesalers) and the Sales support team in charge of servicing of clients (inside servicing). You will also have to collaborate with our product management team and trading team. Some travel may be required during certain instances (National Sales Meetings, client events, etc.).

The Structured Solutions Group, along with other teams involved in structured products, operates on-site at National Bank’s trading floor in Montreal and Toronto. This environment promotes collaboration and provides direct access to colleagues with diverse expertise and backgrounds, enhancing both your professional and personal growth.

Prerequisites 

  • Bachelor's degree in a related industry and 1 year of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated ability to be a great prospector/self starter, identify and qualify new leads
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets and how investment solutions react accordingly
  • Strong listening and communication skills with the ability to simplify complicated concepts and problems
  • Ability to build credibility and rapport with clients over the phone efficiently and effectively

Preferred competencies (asset): 

  • Sales experience
  • Good knowledge of Salesforce (CRM)
  • CFA designation (completed or in progress)
  • The position in Montreal is bilingual. For the Toronto position, bilingualism would be considered an asset.
