A career as a Senior Director, Banking Financing within the Corporate and Private Wealth 1859 team at National Bank means acting as a strategic leader in banking financing for an exceptional client base. This role allows you to have a meaningful impact on the organization by leveraging your business development skills, your experience in banking financing, and your knowledge of financial strategies, while actively contributing to the growth and visibility of Private Wealth 1859 across the regions of Laval, the Laurentians, Lanaudière, Northern Québec, and Eastern Ontario.

Your role

  • Ensure the development and satisfaction of a niche client base by delivering a distinctive client experience and sustainable value creation.
  • Lead business development initiatives by driving growth, structuring a pipeline of strategic opportunities, and strengthening the presence of Private Wealth 1859 in targeted markets.
  • Achieve revenue growth and synergy objectives while mobilizing your team of bankers around business priorities.
  • Ensure sound and rigorous management of financing activities by maintaining a high level of compliance and close collaboration with the Bank’s various sectors.
  • Influence and support the broader Private Wealth 1859 team through your expertise and creativity to address complex client needs.
  • Identify and implement winning business strategies while representing the Private Wealth 1859 brand internally and in external markets.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the team’s business plan by ensuring structured performance and results monitoring.
  • Develop and engage your team’s talent by fostering an inclusive and motivating work environment, supporting organizational change, and maximizing individual contributions.

Your team

Within the Private Wealth 1859 sector, you are part of a high-performing team and report to the Regional Vice-President. You are responsible for managing a team of approximately ten people located across multiple regions. The team stands out for the depth of its expertise, the quality of its client service, and a strong culture of collaboration and enjoyment at work.

Tools such as the Data Academy, language training, the Harvard Learning Center, as well as coaching and mentoring support, are available to you at all times.

Prerequisites

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree with at least ten years of relevant experience; or a master’s degree with at least seven years of relevant experience.
  • Have significant experience in banking financing, including commercial and specialized financing.
  • Demonstrate recognized experience in team management, including coaching, development, and talent engagement.
  • Show strong expertise in business development and the growth of complex portfolios.
  • Be available to travel regularly within the covered territory.

English, French
Reason to require this language: you will need to serve clients who speak a language other than French regularly.
