A career as an Executive Assistant within the Commercial & Private Banking team at National Bank means supporting the Vice-President & Head of Alberta and collaborating closely with three other senior leaders (two Regional Vice-Presidents, Private Wealth and the Head of Credit Execution). In this role, you'll help leaders focus on strategic priorities by anticipating needs, managing complex responsibilities, and ensuring seamless coordination across the team. Your organizational excellence, sound judgment, and proactive approach will contribute directly to the success of key initiatives and day-to-day business activities.

Your role
  • Proactively manage and optimize complex executive calendars, aligning priorities across multiple stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and support leadership meetings and committees, including agenda preparation, documentation, and follow-ups.
  • Coordinate business travel and key logistics, ensuring a seamless experience.
  • Manage and validate expense reports, approvals, and administrative processes with accuracy and rigor.
  • Act as a key liaison between the senior leaders and internal/external partners, fostering strong collaboration.
  • Coordinate onboarding, departures, and internal requests (IT access, tools, reporting), while handling confidential information with discretion.
  • Support the planning and execution of major events, client activities, and strategic initiatives.

This position reports to the Vice-President & Head of Alberta. In this role, you’ll join a large and complex team of professionals working in an environment that encourages collaboration and communication. Our team stands out for its professionalism, agility, and strong sense of teamwork.

Prerequisites
  • Completed post-secondary education and 3+ years of experience in an Executive Assistant or senior administrative role
  • Ability to manage high-volume, high-complexity priorities with autonomy
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and prioritization skills 
  • Strong sense of discretion, judgment, and professionalism
  • Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively
