A career as an Executive Assistant in the Western Canada Real Estate Group at National Bank  means acting as an expert to support the Associate Vice-President, Real Estate Commercial Banking  at National Bank of Canada. 

With your excellent organizational skills, proficiency with IT tools, and eagerness to learn, you will optimize time and facilitate the achievement of business line objectives.

This position is based in Calgary but can also be based in Vancouver within the Western Canada Real Estate Group.

 

Your job:

  • Handle complex administrative functions that carry a high level of responsibility including executive calendar management, organizing meetings and conference calls, arranging business travel, and correspondence with legal professionals.
  • Monitor invoices, budgets and any accounting issues
  • Collaborate with vendors and colleagues on donations, sponsorships, and special projects
  • Coordinate and organize all types of events for clients
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality on all files.
  • Ensure adherence to compliance rules
  • Coordinate activities related to employee hiring and departure processes
  • Acting as a resource person for the sector.
  • Keeping informed of all new developments for the sector and keeping abreast of all developments in the sector.

Working closely with executives and other administrative professionals, you will also have access to colleagues with a wide range of expertise, experience, and backgrounds to enrich all aspects of your development.

 

Basic requirements:

  • Completed post-secondary education plus 2 to 3 years of relevant experience; Banking administration experience is considered an asset
  • Proficient knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams)
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt quickly while meeting strict deadlines
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proven ability to work well in a team environment and independently
  • Proactive and Professional
