As an analyst on the Commercial Financing Operations (CFO) team at National Bank, you'll be a specialist in commercial financing activities. You are passionate about analysis, interested in preparing corporate financing files, and committed to providing quality work for our clients and partners. Come put your curiosity, autonomy, and resourcefulness to work analyzing financing files.

Your role

  • Analyze and interpret the financing requests submitted to determine whether the documents needed for disbursement were obtained with regard to the credit authorization issued
  • Review agendas and credit memos to validate requests received from our partners, and authorize disbursements
  • Draft offer of financing letters and security documents in accordance with established compliance standards
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions to optimize processes
  • Dig deeper with analyses using a multiple query process
  • Independently take initiatives to solve problems and provide creative solutions

Your team

Our team in Edmonton is expanding to meet the growing needs of our business clients. You’ll join a dynamic team of 10–15 colleagues in the Commercial Operations sector, and you’ll report to the Senior Manager, Commercial Financing Operations.  You'll work every day with partners in Western Canada and the teams in Montreal.

Your training will be based on a dynamic program combining classroom and online courses and on-the-job learning to help you master your role. You can access personalized training content on such topics as financing solutions to support your ongoing learning. You’ll also have access to colleagues with a wide range of expertise, experience, and backgrounds to enrich all aspects of your development.

Prerequisites
  • Some post-secondary completed education
  • Excellent writing skills in english
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Agility and a strong ability to adapt to change
  • Curious, independent, resourceful, rigorous, and an excellent team player
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Teams, Power BI)
