A career as a Senior Banking Advisor at National Bank is a varied role that allows you to live your ambitions and have a positive impact on your own life as well as the lives of your clients and colleagues. With your expertise in banking, you’ll offer a people-centric experience to branch clients and be a resource person for your colleague. This position is located in St. Albert. 

Your job:

  • Deliver outstanding customer experiences at every interaction and execute on plans to continuously build the client experience.
  • Give advice and offer appropriate solutions for Personal and Small Business clients to meet their transaction, investment, personal financing, mortgage renewal, made-to-measure insurance and complex estate planning needs.
  • Proactively identify customer needs to uncover opportunities to be crucial to their financial success through referrals to Account Managers.
  • Demonstrate the ability to build lasting business relationships.
  • Assist clients in comprehending banking products by fostering enthusiasm and genuine understanding.
  • Ensure adherence to compliance and risk management rules.
  • Participate in the development of your branch colleagues.

 

Your team:

 Within the Personal Banking Sector, you will report to the Manager Sales & Service and are part of a team of people with bold ideas and a client-focused approach. Our team stands out for its delivery on an amazing client experience and commitment to providing unrivaled service. Every day, you will work with a team of experts specialized in Personal Banking.

Our training programs use on-the-job learning to help you master your role. You can access personalized training content on a wide variety of topics pertaining to your current role, as well as topics that allow you to explore other opportunities within our organization. You’ll also have access to colleagues with a wide range of expertise, experience and backgrounds to enrich all aspects of your development and support your ongoing learning.

After gaining the necessary experience in your role as a Banking Advisor, many options will be available to you. For example, you could advance in the same role, get promoted or move to another region or branch. We offer many career opportunities and encourage internal mobility.

The St Albert branch is open Monday-Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Prerequisites:

·         Some post-secondary classes with business, finance, or marketing or equivalent

  • Ideally 1 to 2 years of customer service experience, inclusive attitude and openness to diversity
  • Positive attitude and empathy for clients
  • Interest in technology and skilled in sharing knowledge
  • Ability to adapt to different situations
