A career as PO Domestic Payments in the Payment Hub-Rails team at National Bank means transforming the face of payments at NBC. It means making strategic decisions and acting as a "leader" to help replace legacy payment systems with a modern solution based on the latest technologies. Your job

  • Plan, prioritize, coordinate and monitor the modernization of domestic commercial payments;
  • Ensure alignment of the product vision with the Bank's vision and needs;
  • Contribute to the definition of the product's strategic orientations in collaboration with the Delivery Squads, the other PO Domestic Payments as well as the Lead PO (Senior Director);
  • Use your in-depth business knowledge and solution delivery experience to act as an expert in linking with other initiatives and intervening with numerous internal (regulatory, compliance, fraud, product, IT, etc.) and external stakeholders;
  • Lead the decision-making process through your recommendations, drawing on your extensive experience in domestic payments and influencing the Payments sector.

Your team

In the Commercial and Private Banking 1859 sector, you will be part of a large team of 10 colleagues, reporting to the Senior Manager Domestic Payments ACSS.  As part of a team of senior POs and consultants, you will work with multidisciplinary teams to prioritize and contribute to the delivery of various projects aimed at adapting and modernizing the bank's commercial payment systems in Canada and internationally. 

Our learning-by-doing training programs will help you master your job. Customized training content on topics such as the Role of the NBC's PO is available to support your ongoing learning. Prerequisites

  • Bachelor's degree related to the industry and 8 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree related to the industry and 6 years of relevant experience;
  • Excellent understanding of payment systems (EFT and EDI) and good understanding of payment products and cash management;
  • Experience in delivering large-scale projects;
  • Experience in business analysis and process review;
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of rigor and priority management;
  • Influential leadership and excellent team player;
Languages:
English, French
Reason to require this language: you will need to collaborate with a regulator/authority/government body outside Quebec.
