A career in operational risk management at National Bank means participating in the transformation to have a direct impact on clients. As a Senior Advisor in Technology, Operational and Cyber Risks, you are the preferred contact. e of the business lines in the area of technological risks and compliance.

You have a holistic view on operational risk management and have an advisory role within the sector, and take a critical look at operational and technology risk assessments.

Your job
  • Master knowledge of risk appetite and associated socialization process
  • Conduct technological risk assessments and assess their impact on other operational risk categories
  • Socialize risk assessment results to the right stakeholders based on risk appetite
  • Produce the residual technological risk posture of business lines and assess its impact on other operational risk categories
  • Coordinate and conduct a review of the first line self-assessments on operational controls effectiveness testing
  • Monitor the progress of your sector’s technology risk management action plans
  • Consume and integrate KRI/KPIs for reporting based on stakeholder KRI/KPIs
  • Ensure the reporting of operational risks for your sector’s business lines
  • Actively participate in meetings and committees where the team is required to be present.
Your team

In the operational risk management sector, you are part of a team of 15 colleagues and report to the Senior Manager Operational, Technology and Cyber Risk. Our team is distinguished by its cross-cutting scope of interventions and expertise.

Prerequisites
  • Industry-related university degree and several years of relevant experience
  • Significant experience in an advisor role
  • Good knowledge and understanding of operational risk
  • Cyber and IT knowledge is an asset
  • Ability to organize effectively to complete tasks
  • Critical and analytical thinking to challenge teams and work
  • Ability to establish a fluid communication and constructive exchange with all stakeholders, including at the executive level, with an ability to popularize concepts
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Learning agility, communication, diversity and inclusion, empathy, initiative, resilience, teamwork.
