A career as an advisor / advisore, Risk Management Governance in the Integrated Risk Management team at National Bank means acting as a key contributor to the evolution and operationalization of enterprise‑wide risk governance frameworks. This role allows you to have a meaningful impact on organizational integrity, decision‑making quality, and risk oversight through your expertise in governance, policy frameworks, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Your role

  • You contribute to strengthening risk governance practices across the Bank and its subsidiaries. You work closely with multiple stakeholders to ensure policies are well designed, aligned, and effectively applied.
  • Design, implement, and evolve risk governance frameworks for subsidiaries while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards
  • Coordinate and maintain the Bank’s policy framework, including oversight of inventories and review cycles
  • Lead subsidiary integrations by developing structured governance playbooks and supporting adoption
  • Prepare and present executive‑level materials for Senior Management and the Board, clearly expressing issues, recommendations, and outcomes
  • Advise and challenge second line of defense partners to ensure effective governance execution and monitoring of remediation plans
  • Monitor, assess, and report on adherence to risk policies and their effectiveness across the organization


Your team

You will be part of the Integrated Risk Management team. You will report to the Senior Director, Risk Management Governance. The team is recognized for its broad expertise across multiple risk domains and its ability to lead large-scale, cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of experience in risk management, governance, or process design and implementation
  • Demonstrate proven experience in governance frameworks, policy development, and oversight activities
  • Show strong expertise in structuring documentation, evidence management, and control governance
  • Possess experience working with senior stakeholders in complex, cross‑functional environments
  • Be comfortable preparing executive‑level materials and formal governance documentation

Languages:
English, French
Reason to require this language: you will need to work closely with our colleagues outside Quebec.
