A career as a Technical Lead in the Finance/Accounting team at National Bank means serving as an expert who guides technical choices and actively contributes to the modernization of critical application platforms at the heart of financial operations. This position allows you to have a concrete impact on the organization thanks to your expertise in backend development, cloud software design and modern DevSecOps practices.

Your job

  • Design, develop and maintain cloud-native backend applications on AWS by applying development and security best practices.
  • Define and develop robust, resilient and maintainable software architectures, particularly using APIs, services and integrations tailored to business needs.
  • Act as a technical reference person by establishing standards, guiding technical decisions and ensuring the overall quality of deliverables.
  • Implement and optimize ongoing integration and deployment pipelines to automate tests, deployments and quality controls.
  • Ensure the stability, performance and availability of applications in production through monitoring, resilience and continuous improvement mechanisms.
  • Use AI in a pragmatic and responsible manner within the SDLC (e.g., design assistance, code generation, testing, documentation, automation), while respecting banking security and compliance requirements.
  • Support team members in their technical development and contribute to a culture of collaboration and excellence.

You are part of a multidisciplinary team of developers and analysts in the Finance/Accounting sector, reporting to a manager in the sector. Prerequisites

  • A bachelor’s degree in software engineering or a related field with significant experience in software development.
  • Have senior backend development experience with languages such as Java or Python.
  • Solid experience in designing and developing cloud-native applications on AWS.
  • Master ongoing integration and deployment practices, infrastructure as code and automated testing.
  • Have a good understanding of application security issues and DevSecOps practices.
  • Experience or strong interest in the pragmatic use of AI within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience with relational databases; experience with NoSQL databases is an asset.
