A career as a Functional and Data Analyst in the IT Delivery team of the Regulatory Initiatives portfolio at National Bank means acting as a Data Integration Specialist. This job allows you to have a positive impact on our organization, thanks to your expertise in functional analysis and data manipulation or in the regulatory field.

Your job

Identify, analyze and document the business, functional and data needs of our stakeholders
Define solutions, support the implementation of the data solution as well as write functional data integration files for the developer teams, including the expected behaviors of the system, use cases and user interactions with the system
Assist and participate in the realization of the development strategy, tests and their automation
Participate in the development of robust and stable solutions for all requests
Linking business needs and technological requirements
Analyze data, participate in end-to-end testing and propose improvements and fixes on data quality
Ensure compliance with data security and privacy standards
Understand current processes and establish target processes by working closely with multiple stakeholders
Support the solution and data architect in the realization of data architecture deliverables.

The IT team is made up of more than 2,300 proactive, collaborative experts who work with agility to seize opportunities, stay on the cutting edge of technology, and continuously improve our processes.

Within the Technology and Operations sector, you are part of a progressive team of 12 colleagues and report to the Senior Director, IT Delivery of the regulatory portfolio. Our team stands out for its cross-functional approach, which offers a lot of opportunity to collaborate with many sectors, and its strong desire to improve the customer and employee experience by delivering projects to ensure the Bank's compliance with various provincial and federal legislative projects.

Prerequisites

University degree related to the industry and several years (minimum 5 years) of relevant experience
Hands-on experience with Agile development and delivery methodologies
Knowledge of data modeling techniques and modeling tools (ERWIN, draw.io, LucidChart, etc.) and business architecture (with notations such as UML, C4)
Experience in data integrations with API-based integration patterns and event flows (Kafka, ETL)
Knowledge of AWS and Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence...)
Knowledge of tools to make REST calls (Postman, ThunderClient, ReadyAPI...)
Proficiency in Java and knowledge of Terraform pipelines (Jenkins, Github Action) is an asset
Demonstrated experience in business, functional, technical and application analysis in a complex organization
Hands-on experience with quality assurance testing
Experience in a banking environment is desirable.

Languages:

English, French

Reason to require this language: you will need to work closely with our colleagues outside Quebec.
