A career as a Senior Advisor in the Operations Investments (OI) Knowledge Academy team at National Bank means providing strategic support and tactical leadership as a advisory expert in operational knowledge, enablement, change support/ role readiness, and communications.

This role has a direct impact on how expertise, onboarding readiness, and operational knowledge are structured, governed, shared and continuously evolves across Investment Operations. The Senior Advisor plays a key role in assessing the current state of operational knowledge, identifying opportunities for improvement, and designing practical, scalable solutions that support performance, resilience, risk management and business continuity within a large and evolving operational environment.

Your role
  • Provide support for strategic plan and implementation for tactical advisory leadership in the development and execution of communication approaches across Investment Operations, supporting clarity, alignment, and operational readiness
  • Ensure sustainable and secure transfer of operational knowledge across OI, supporting clarity, alignment, operational readiness, and team autonomy
  • Partner with OI sectors to design, deploy, and maintain operational content that enables employees to effectively perform their roles and navigate day to day operational requirements
  • Lead and contribute to the design and evolution of onboarding frameworks, with the focus on knowledge transfer, ensuring new employees are integrated efficiently while minimizing operational risk and disruption
  • Conduct end to end assessments of operational knowledge and expertise needs, identifying current state gaps, opportunities, and sustainability risks across teams. (key individual dependencies)
  • Shape and evolve the OI Knowledge Academy, including role readiness materials, expertise pathways, and reference frameworks that support long term capability and continuity
  • Ensure knowledge repositories, documentation, and enablement tools are robust, accessible, well governed, and aligned with evolving processes, tools, and business priorities
  • Support operational teams through practical and tailored change management approaches, aligned to the pace, constraints, and realities of Investment Operations
  • Promote a mindset of continuous evolution and knowledge ownership, ensuring knowledge and expertise remain current as operational models, tools (AI), and roles evolve
Your team

Within the Cross functional Activities sector of Investment Operations, you are part of a team of two Senior Advisors and report to the Senior Director. The team’s mandate is to create value across all Investment Operations—an organization of approximately 650 employees—by strengthening operational readiness, knowledge sustainability, and expertise continuity.

Prerequisites
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, communications, marketing, or another related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or any other combination of education and experience deemed equivalent
  • Experience in communications and/or communication strategy development
  • Experience in operational knowledge enablement, onboarding support, or content development within a complex operational environment
  • Interest or experience with digital tools and/or AI applied to knowledge access, structuring, and sustainability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive level presentation capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to support organizations through change in large, production driven environments
  • Proven ability to influence, advise, and collaborate with management teams
