As an Analyst – Investment Solutions, you support the head office team in delivering delegated investment solution offerings available to advisors of National Bank Financial (NBF). Your role involves producing portfolio reports, conducting investment research and analysis, supporting trading activities, as well as contributing to the continuous improvement of the internal solutions platform.

Your job:

Produce regular performance reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly), ensuring the accuracy and quality of data.
Support the monitoring and due diligence review of external managers used in the various solutions.
Provide portfolio analyses and recommendations to the myWEALTH Unified Investment Committee to support decision-making related to portfolio construction and adjustments across all models offered in the program.
Provide advice and support to wealth management advisors in the use of available tools and presentations.
Managing the efficient, compliant execution and settlement of all trading (equity, funds, fixed income and money market).
Trading fund of fund and externally sub-advised portfolios according to their Investment Policy Statement, tactical asset allocation, and unique constraints.
Review trade settlement within the pools/funds.
Manage fund cash balances ensuring in and out flows are recognized and actioned accordingly within the fund, including foreign exchange transactions.
Run daily reports on cash flows for Funds/Pools.
Maintain broker commission allocation spreadsheet as well as all documentation with 3rd party brokers.
Ensure communication and documentation of internal solutions remain relevant and up to date.
Support and collaborate in the development of large-scale IT initiatives and tools to support the internal solutions platform.
Contribute to the improvement and growth initiatives for delegated portfolio management solutions.

Your Team:

You report to the Senior Advisor – Investment Solutions and Portfolio Management within the Investment Solutions team. You are part of a team of 20 people.

Prerequisites:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field with five (5) years of relevant experience, or a related master’s degree with three (3) years of relevant experience.
CFA designation or currently pursuing (an asset).
Experience in portfolio management and/or manager research.
Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
Experience in the wealth management industry (an asset).
Knowledge of portfolio management tools.
Experience with Croesus system (an asset).
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and programming capabilities.

Languages:

English, French
