A career as a backend Java developer in the Corporate Data team (EIN/ODS) at National Bank means serving as a backend application development specialist for structuring financial products. Your job

• Develop high-performing, secure and scalable back-end application solutions in Java to support business processes related to complex financial products.
• Maintain and upgrade existing applications by ensuring code quality, system performance and compliance with established development standards.
• Analyze and resolve technical issues to improve the stability, reliability and efficiency of solutions in production.
• Participate in deployment activities, code reviews and ongoing maintenance of applications throughout their lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, architecture and quality assurance teams, in an agile environment.
• Contribute to the technological evolution of solutions by reducing technical debt and proposing improvements or migrations to more modern technologies.

the Vice-President – Corporate Data is a multidisciplinary team that plays a central role in the Bank's digital transformation. The teams develop and support cross-sector business application programming interfaces that are essential to the applications used by National Bank clients.

Within the Corporate Data sector, you are part of a large team of specialists reporting to the Manager – Asset Management. Prerequisites

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least three years of experience in software development; an equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered.
• Concrete experience in back-end Java development, including application programming interfaces, spring boot and microservice-oriented architectures.
• Experience with source code management and collaboration tools, such as GIT and the Atlassian suite (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence).
• Have evolved in an agile development environment and understand the associated best practices.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of concepts related to automated testing, deployment and cloud environments, particularly on AWS-type platforms.
