A career as a Senior Functional Analyst at the National Bank of Canada means participating in the organization’s IT cybersecurity sector major transformation, in the integration of digital customer transactional applications with client connection and profile management services (Customer Identity & Access Management - CIAM services).

Your job

  • Define the solutions, support the implementation of the solution as well as write functional specifications intended for the developer teams, including the expected behaviors of the system, the use cases and the interactions of users with the system.
  • Assist and participate in the implementation of the development strategy, tests and their automation.
  • Identify and write business requirements (functional, non-functional, informational, transitional), understand their links, and keep them up to date during their life cycle and ensure their traceability.
  • Participate in the development of robust and stable solutions for all requests.
  • Make the link between business needs and technological requirements.
  • Understand the target architecture and CIAM standards and influence stakeholders to respect them.
  • Understand current processes & establish target processes by working closely with multiple stakeholders.
  • Support the solution architect in producing architecture deliverables.
  • Have a functional understanding of integration principles, such as using APIs.
  • Work in an Agile team using the scrum methodology.

Prerequisites

  • Knowledge of AWS and Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
  • Understanding of the main concepts of identity and access management (SSO, MFA, OIDC, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills and vulgarization of complex technical topics.
  • Focused on achieving objectives and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience in delivering technological solutions in Agile mode.
  • Hands-on experience with quality assurance testing.

English, French
