 A career as a Senior Data Engineer within the IT – Data & Analytics – Wealth Management and Brokerage Operations team at National Bank means acting as a Data Specialist. You will work on data engineering projects such as database design, building data pipelines for ingestion, cleaning and transforming data, and optimizing the performance of data processing systems.

This role allows you to make a positive impact on our organization through your recognized experience and skills in data engineering.

Your role
  • Influence business lines in the organization and presentation of data, and contribute to the data strategy
  • Participate in the design and development of data acquisition, transformation, and consumption solutions
  • Contribute to identifying and documenting authoritative data sources that meet the needs of our business lines
  • Support the evolution of processes and tools, and guide the selection of data analysis and development tools
  • Determine data infrastructure requirements and evolve the technological environment accordingly

Within the Wealth Management and Brokerage Operations sector, you will be part of the project team implementing the new data ecosystem and report to the Senior Director of Analytics. Our team stands out for its enthusiasm, professionalism, and passion for new technologies.

Requirements
  • 7 years of experience as a Data Engineering Analyst-Developer, or 2 to 3 years in this role combined with at least 10 years in another IT domain
  • Proven expertise with Snowflake, SQL, AWS, and Python is essential
  • Strong experience in data models, structure, management, and data engineering
  • Experience in data manipulation, structuring, management, analysis, and prototyping, as well as knowledge of data modeling
  • Familiarity with data transformation and orchestration tools (e.g., DBT and Airflow)
  • Experience implementing CI/CD and data pipelines
