A career as a Chief Analyst in the Consolidation team at National Bank means acting as a subject matter expert in consolidated financial reporting and the financial close process. This role allows you to make a meaningful impact on the organization through your expertise in financial accounting, consolidation, and financial analysis.

Your Role

  • Collaborate with accounting teams to prepare financial data, elimination entries, and adjustments required for monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements.
  • Produce regulatory reports for Canadian authorities while ensuring compliance with established deadlines.
  • Perform financial analyses to support business activities and decision-making across the Bank.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Bank’s business segments, subsidiaries, budgeting processes, cost allocations, and operational volumes.
  • Contribute to consolidation initiatives related to new accounting standards, regulatory changes, and organizational transformations using SAP G/L and Group Reporting.
  • Improve processes and build strong partnerships across the organization through a data-driven and innovative approach.

Your Team

The Finance Vice-Presidency is made up of specialists who work in an agile, proactive, and collaborative manner to seize opportunities, stay at the forefront of best practices, and continuously improve processes.

Within the Consolidation department, you are part of a team of five colleagues and report to the Senior Director. Our team is recognized for its expertise, collaborative spirit, and contribution to the Bank’s strategic financial processes. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.
  • CPA designation
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, SAP G/L and Group Reporting
  • Experience with Power Query good to have
  • Strong expertise in financial accounting, consolidation, and financial statement preparation.
Languages:
English, French
