As a Site Reliability Specialist, Business Intelligence and Data Management, you will play a key role within a DevOps squad that is working to innovate, develop new ways of integrating data into our assets and maintain the availability and reliability of our assets in production. You will be tasked with helping clients and consumers more easily use the data in our data warehouse.

Your role:

  • Be the key point of contact between internal consumers and our team
  • Investigate and analyze data anomalies
  • Optimize data processing and make corrections to our production environments
  • Interpret and correct functional analysis files
  • Participate in efforts to automate our work methods and processes
  • Diagnose problems and solve issues by ensuring the solutions developed are permanent and support the continuous improvement of our assets
  • Respond and take action as a Level 2 expert in the event of asset incidents

Ensure availability (24/7) of production environments for our databases, microservices and APIs

Level 1 support (24/7) is provided by one of our internal partners. In your role as a Level 2 leader, you will serve as the expert on call in the event of an incident outside regular work hours for one week every month.

Desired skills

  • Relevant experience in supporting and maintaining IT tools and environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Business Technology Management or the equivalent
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL & data analysis
  • Experience manipulating and using databases
  • Experience managing cloud operations (AWS)
  • Knowledge of ETL (DataStage), microservice & API (Java) processing tools, an asset
  • Knowledge of automated deployment (Jenkins) and code versioning (Git) tools, an asset
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodology, an asset
  • Knowledge of DevOps and continuous integration practices, an asset
