A career as an Analyst – Validation of Exchange-traded Funds in the ETFs & specialised Operations team at National Bank means playing a key role in securing daily ETFs deliverables, particularly at the end of the operational cycle.

Validation expertise, operational rigour and understanding of the exchange-traded fund ecosystem will directly contribute to the quality, accuracy and continuity of operations in a context of large markets and tight deadlines.

Your job

  • Be an expert in validating exchange-traded funds, with a focus on end-of-day controls
  • In-depth validation of PCFs, assessments and critical data from ETFs
  • Analyze complex events and positions (derivatives, corporate operations, late adjustments)
  • Manage and follow up on exceptions that occur at the end of the day
  • Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure the completeness and quality of deliverables
  • Apply and document key operational controls related to ETF activities
  • Help integrate new exchange-traded funds and continuously improve validation processes
  • Identify potential risks and help implement preventive solutions
  • Contribute to knowledge transfer and support team members during critical operational situations

Your team

Within the Investment Funds Administration and Tax activities sector, you are part of the ETF & specialised Operations team and report to the team manager.

Work schedules are from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. for the Montreal position and from 13 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. for the Toronto position, and include remote work based on operational needs.

Prerequisites

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field, or any other combination of equivalent education and 4 years of relevant experience
  • Solid knowledge of mutual funds and exchange-traded funds (ETFs)
  • Experience validating, controlling or administering funds
  • Proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas; AVBA and automation, an asset)
  • Operational rigour and great attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical skills and critical thinking
  • Autonomy, reliability and ability to work in a context of late delivery
  • Strong team spirit and communication skills

English, French
