A career as a data analytics specialist in the Capital Markets and Treasury Risk Management team at National Bank will help migrate and optimise market risk processes to the cloud. This job allows you to have a concrete impact thanks to your strong programming skills, analytical skills and ability to propose innovative solutions.

Your job

  • Lead the migration of market risk processes to the cloud (AWS) and to Python while collaborating with analysts from several teams
  • Design, develop and maintain programmed tools in Python to support operations and risk analysis
  • Apply and disseminate best practises in software design and process management
  • Ensure ongoing optimisation of existing analytical solutions
  • Act as a change agent by supporting teams as they develop their practises

Your team

Within the market and Treasury risk Management sector, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team and report to the Managing Director – Global Trading risk Oversight. We work together in a spirit of collaboration and innovation to effectively manage risks and support the Bank's activities. Prerequisites

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer Science, Financial Engineering, Mathematics or a related field and 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Solid knowledge of Python and version control tools (Git)
  • Experience with cloud computing (AWS) and the Office suite
  • Knowledge of SQL, react or visualisation tools (Tableau, PowerBI), an asset
Languages:
English, French
Reason to require this language: you will need to work closely with our colleagues outside Quebec.
