As a senior analyst in the Operations mutual fund accounting team at National Bank, you’ll contribute to delivering differents activities in working in synergy with your team. 

With your knowledge of financial statement, your experience in accounting and your willingness to make a difference through your rigor and complicity, you’ll have a positive impact in a sector with complex activities helping to identify business issues and respond to the needs of various partners to support the delivery of important initiatives.

National Bank's fund accounting department is responsible of daily NAV calculation, distributions calculation and their financial statements production and their tax declarations. 

Your role

  • Analyze and process daily cash reconciliation discrepancies
  • Collect, compile and verify the accuracy of data needed to produce financial statements (semi-annual and annual)
  • Participate in the annual audit process of mutual funds and exchange traded funds
  • Ensure compliance with the accounting standards that define our activities
  • Identify and analyze partner’s needs to meet their needs and facilitate their decision-making
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners (clients, auditors, NBT) in common activities
  • Contribute to the improvement of activities and processes
  • Participate and coordinate projects and follow up

Your team

As part of the Fund accounting sector in the financial statements team, you’ll be in a team of 14 colleagues. Surrounded by experts in finance, accounting and taxation, we analyze and interpret the data to make the best decisions for our clients and partners. You will report to the Financial statements manager.

Prerequisites

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of relevant experience or any other combination of education and experience considered equivalent
  • Knowledgeable about mutual funds and experience producing financial statements
  • Excellent communication skills, good time and priority management
  • Critical problem-solving skills
  • CPA designation in the process of being obtained
Languages:
English, French
Reason to require this language: you will need to work closely with our colleagues outside Quebec.
