A career at National Bank as Team Leader, Commercial Banking means playing a key role in growing the commercial account portfolio and contributing to National Bank’s visibility and impact in the Moncton market. You lead complex commercial transactions and support the team on strategic client files requiring advanced financial structuring and judgment.

Your role
  • Lead and mobilize a team of Account Managers and support roles by fostering coaching, collaboration, and a client-focused performance culture.
  • Drive business growth through a proactive market presence, the development of relationships with key partners, and participation in business events.
  • Support the team with strategic clients to drive acquisition, retention, and deeper client relationships.
  • Manage the sales pipeline, forecasts, and achievement of objectives using CRM tools and disciplined sales practices.
  • Structure profitable financing solutions aligned with the Bank’s risk appetite.
  • Ensure credit quality, compliance, and sound governance while staying attuned to market trends.

Your team
You lead a team of Commercial Account Managers and support roles serving small and medium-sized businesses in Moncton and surrounding regions. You play a central role in team engagement, priority management, and alignment with National Bank’s commercial strategy, working closely with internal partners to deliver a consistent and integrated client experience.

Prerequisites
  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in business banking or related financial services
  • Demonstrated experience managing or coaching teams in a sales-driven environment
  • Strong expertise in commercial credit and sound risk judgment
  • Proven success in business development and client relationship management
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and influencing skills
  • Strong knowledge of the Moncton market and Atlantic provinces (an asset)
  • University degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or equivalent experience
