A career as Senior Director, Global Credit Markets IT in the Capital Markets team at National Bank means acting as a strategic and technical leader of our Global Credit Markets IT team. This job allows you to have a concrete impact on the evolution of our technological ecosystems, the stability of our systems and the performance of the solutions serving our customers and partners. You’ll be responsible for delivering IT value through the modernization of our application landscape and the adoption of innovative ways of doing things in software development.
 
Your job
  • Be responsible for the management and development of the applications and business capabilities in your portfolio, and therefore, understand the current situation and propose an optimized roadmap between the transformation of your ecosystem, the evolution of business capabilities and risk management including maintenance and security
  • In partnership with the line of business, build strategic roadmaps, establish rollout strategies, and oversee implementation of such plans.
  • Structure the activities of the teams under your responsibilities to best deliver technology solutions
  • Ensure system stability, security, and competitiveness while managing risk
  • Implement strategies to optimize the management of resources, processes and technological tools
  • Negotiate and manage relationships with strategic suppliers
  • Contribute to the Bank's reputation by representing the organization on external committees and partners

You are part of a large multidisciplinary team in the Capital Markets sector and report to a Senior Manager. Our team stands out for its innovative and dynamic spirit. Prerequisites
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 12 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree in a related field and at least 10 years of relevant experience. Specifically:
  • 10+ years of hands-on expertise supporting the LoanIQ platform and related in-house development
  • 10+ years of experience directing multiple development squads, including managing conflicting development priorities and technical constraints.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the integration of new technologies for large-scale projects
  • Solid experience in managing and negotiating strategic IT contracts
  • In-depth knowledge of the commercial lending business and how to apply technology to deliver business results
  •  Experience in complex IT ecosystems and large enterprises
  • Developed political acumen and ability to interact effectively with senior management
