A career as Senior Director of Disaster Recovery in the ITSM and Disaster Recovery Operations team at National Bank means being the leader of a team working in the field of IR operational resilience. It is through your ability to develop strong collaborative relationships across all areas of the Bank, and specifically, with the various IT and BCM partners, that you have a positive impact on the delivery of the Bank's objectives.

Your job:

  • Ensure the development and on-going maintenance of Disaster Recovery procedures and tools to support compliance with OSFI’s requirements: B-13, Guideline on Integrity and security, E-21;
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of services proposed by your team and assess the impact on their evolution;
  • As the person responsible for disaster recovery at the Bank, provide leadership in terms of continuous improvement for all of the team’s processes as well as ensuring an overall improvement of DR execution by the Delivery Towers;
  • Ensure evolution of processes and practices to keep pace with changes in technology, business and regulations;
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with IT and BCM stakeholders to influence them to maximize and optimize disaster recovery capabilities and create new ones;
  • Manage, coach and mobilize a dynamic team of professionals and act as a leader in the vision and strategy of transformation.

Within the Disaster Recovery sector, you are part of a team of 4 colleagues, and you report to the Senior Director ITSM and DR Operations. Our team stands out for its passion for disaster recovery and its team spirit.

Prerequisite:

  • Bachelor's degree related to the industry and five years of relevant experience or Master's degree related to the IT business sector and three years of relevant experience
  • Experience in personnel management in a continuous coaching mode
  • Experience in process improvement
  • Knowledge of Jira, desirable
  • Knowledge in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery, desirable
  • Knowledge and experience in the field of cloud technology, desirable
  • Demonstrated relational skills and influence
  • Profile desired: a positive, innovative and committed person, a strong advocate of autonomy and the creation of ideas
  • Leadership in a continuous transformation environment
  • Ability to mobilize a team towards a common goal.
