A career as an Intern – Data Engineering Developer on the Risk Strategy Modeling team at National Bank means leveraging the Bank’s analytical infrastructures to deliver data structures that help improve the efficiency of our modeling processes and the performance monitoring of our credit risk strategies. This role allows you to make a positive impact on our organization through your data design and modeling skills.

Your role

Develop “Ready for Modeling” databases to improve the efficiency of credit risk modeling initiatives
Work closely with a team of data scientists and business partners to clearly understand their business needs
Communicate progress on a weekly basis

Your team

Within the Risk Models and Strategies, Perception, Collections, and Recovery sector, you will be part of a large multidisciplinary team of 30 colleagues and report to the Senior Director, Risk Models and Strategies. You will join a sub-team composed of numerous experts in data engineering and data stewardship who will support you as you grow into the role.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in progress in a field related to the internship, such as engineering, data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline
Practical knowledge of programming languages such as SQL and Python
Solid understanding of data models, data structures, data management, and data engineering
