A career as an Analyst or Associate in the Structured Products team at National Bank offers an opportunity to participate in the creation of innovative investment solutions that are an alternative to traditional investments for both institutional and retail clients. This position reports to the Managing Director, Structured Products. In this role you will have a positive impact on our organization through your active participation in Structured products trading operations.


Your Job

  • Participate in trade reconciliation, risk analysis and risk management of the structured products group trading books
  • Participate in the tracking of corporate actions and the execution of rebalancing trades
  • Improve process automation to contribute to the group's business development growth plan
  • Collaborate on any other related project


Your Team

The Structured Products Group's activities are diverse. The Structured Products Analyst or Associate works closely with experienced members of the group as well as with various Financial Markets teams. You will have the opportunity to learn and contribute while evolving in a collaborative, results-oriented team environment that rewards professional excellence and individual initiative. Please note that office presence is mandatory at our Montreal office.


Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master's degree in finance or financial engineering, actuarial science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field (0 to 3 years of relevant experience)
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Bloomberg, and programming (VBA required and Python an asset)
  • Bilingualism, spoken and written (English and French) essential
  • Quantitative/technical background
  • Knowledge of derivative products and volatility strategies
  • Strong interest in Financial Markets

Languages:
English, French
Reason to require this language: you will need to work closely with our colleagues outside Quebec.
