As a Senior Analyst in the Maxium Financial team at National Bank, you’ll be a specialist in condominium and strata financing. With your excellent interpersonal and communication skills, your experience with commercial financing and credit analysis, and your knowledge of condominiums and stratas, you’ll have a positive impact on the customer experience and help drive National Bank as the premier lender in this space. 

Your role:

• Collaborate with sales, underwriting, operations, and risk management teams to analyze, structure and recommend credit applications within established timelines

• Conduct necessary data analysis and location assessments by attending client meetings

• Support the calculation and management of financing solutions while ensuring compliance with National Bank’s lending policies and maintaining prudent risk standards.

• Provide clients with accurate timelines and requirements for evaluating credit requests, managing the adjudication process to meet established timelines or communicating potential changes to clients

• Represent National Bank as an ambassador for the condo and strata portfolio by attending tradeshows and building relationships with industry stakeholders

• Collaborate with the sales team, credit team, or clients to assess the creditworthiness of credit applications by thoroughly analyzing privately and publicly available information related to the client and their project

• Oversee customer financial performance by monitoring covenant compliance and overdue financials, while also identifying and assessing new financing opportunities in collaboration with sales leadership and senior executives.

Your team:

As part of the condominium and strata sector, you’ll be on a team of 8 of colleagues and you’ll report to the Chief Operating Officer. Our team stands out for its expertise in condominium and strata financing, as well as providing an excellent client experience, in addition to working with great people in a positive environment.

Prerequisites:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or a related discipline

• 3 - 5 years of financial services experience within functions of commercial lending or financial analysis

• Experience in credit adjudication supported by well-developed skills in financial statement analysis and knowledge of effective risk mitigation strategies for credit underwriting (particularly related to the Canadian condominium and strata industry)

• Previous experience working as a property manager or for a property management company is also considered an asset

• Available for travel as needed to industry events and conferences
