As a Director of Institutional Services at National Bank Trust, you will bring your experience and high motivation to join our team, specializing in providing custody and assets servicing services to investment fund managers and fund manufacturers. In this role, you will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with key clients, ensuring the delivery of exceptional service, and identifying opportunities to add value by offering tailored solutions in fund custody, administration, and asset servicing.


Your Job

• Build and manage long-term relationships with investment fund managers, asset managers, and fund manufacturers.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for overall client coverage.
• Provide comprehensive custody solutions tailored to clients' needs, including fund administration, NAV calculation, and compliance monitoring.
• Drive account growth by identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities, enhancing client satisfaction and retention.
• Lead the implementation of new client accounts, ensuring smooth onboarding and integration of services.
• Stay informed on industry trends and provide clients with insights and recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery and address client needs promptly.


Your Team

Reporting to the Vice President, Head of Custody and ETF Services, you will collaborate and support our team in its day-to-day operations, while also assisting the clients of NB Trust ETF Services. You will work in a collaborative and professional environment with most of the teams located in Montreal.

As part of your duties, you interact with the Bank's various partners and other external organizations across Canada. This position is based in either Montreal or Toronto.


Basic Requirements

• Master's or bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics or a related field, between 7 and 10 years of experience relevant to the role.
• Experience in the asset management or servicing industry (ideally the back office or middle office)
• Experience in managing supplier relationships.
• In-depth knowledge of ETF servicing and strong interest in managing end-to-end processes.
• Industry accreditations are an asset
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry, including product solutions, the mutual fund industry and distribution channels, industry regulation, and regulatory environment.
• Demonstrated project management skills with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong ability to multitask and prioritize.
