Being a Senior Advisor in the Sourcing team at National Bank means contributing to the negotiation of commercial agreements that support our banking products and services offering. It also means being involved in projects that require expertise in multiple legal fields, including technology, commercial agreements and information security. This job will allow you to have a positive impact on our organization through your negotiation skills, business reflexes, curiosity, relationship skills, as well as your critical thinking.

Your role

  • Act as a sourcing advisor specialized in commercial agreements for acquisition of goods or services from third party suppliers, more specifically supporting the business activities of our Financial Markets team
  • Collaborate with the dedicated risk management team within the business unit
  • Be familiar with and understand the activities and the various components of the Financial Markets business sector
  • Be familiar with and understand financial market infrastructures, market data and trading systems
  • Be familiar with and manage commercial relationships with the various third party partners
  • Demonstrate leadership and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide advice and intervene in strategic cases that have a significant impact on the activities, operations and results of National Bank of Canada and its subsidiaries

Your Team

In the Sourcing sector, you’ll be part of a large multidisciplinary team and you’ll report to the Senior Manager IT Sourcing and Legal Counsel. Our team works with all lines of business and contributes to the delivery of numerous and various business initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to join our team!

Prerequisites

  • Industry-related Bachelor's degree and 7-10 years of relevant experience OR Industry-related Master's degree and 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in sourcing/procurement in large organizations and category management (market data, trading platforms and tools)
  • Good judgement and business acumen
  • Ability to offer efficient and quality service to business partners
  • Proactive attitude, leadership, and initiative
  • Ability to manage priorities and a large volume of files

English, French
