Being a Senior International Trade Manager at National Bank means contributing to the sector's strategy implementation. It also means leading a team of specialists who provide advice, support, and tailored financial services to clients.

Your job:

  • Ensure effective team management by creating a motivating environment that reflects your qualities as an accomplished leader.
  • Ensure that the team remains competent, proactive, and engaged to create a superior client experience.
  • Identify and develop business opportunities in your market, grow your client base, and establish business development strategies in line with the Bank's directions.
  • Lead a sustainable and profitable growth plan for the sector.
  • Identify and manage risks inherent to the sector's activities.
  • Seek to improve your knowledge and that of your team.
  • Identify and propose improvements to optimize process and system efficiency.
  • Stay abreast of economic developments in the sector and ensure that the products and services offered meet evolving client needs.
  • Ensure visibility and promote the Bank's products and services to various external stakeholders.
  • Support organizational changes and contribute to the development of your team through a multidisciplinary approach centered around the client and their overall needs.

Your team:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will act as a leader for the international trade development team. This team consists of four employees covering Canada. Our training programs are based on on-the-job learning to help you master your role. You can access personalized training content to support your continuous learning. You will also have access to colleagues with a wide range of expertise, experience, and backgrounds to enrich all aspects of your development.

Basic requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree related to the field and 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Master's degree related to the field and 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Significant experience in international trade (Documentary Letters of Credit, Standby Letters of Guarantee, Supply Chain Financing, Government Guarantee Programs, etc.).
  • Knowledge of international regulations and business practices.
  • Market analysis and international trade development strategy skills.
  • Experience in personnel management.
  • Experience in sales coaching.
  • Negotiation experience.

Languages:
English, French
Reason to require this language: you will need to serve clients who speak a language other than French regularly.
