A career as a Senior Manager – SAP Asset Management at National Bank is to act as an impact manager within a multidisciplinary team, including some matrix contributors, to strategically evolve the SAP platform used by the Bank in several areas, including Finance, Client relations, Financing, Human Resources management and Procurement.

Your job

  • Lead and inspire a team of 6 analysts and guide approximately 25 analysts, SAP developers (ABAP, BTP, etc.) and system administrators (SAP Basis), in matrix mode
  • Maintain and evolve the SAP platform technology ecosystem and its various modules in use at the Bank
  • Work closely with finance, customer relations, financing, procurement and employee experience managers to bring the SAP platform to life
  • Deliver project components that impact the SAP ecosystem and its integration with the Bank’s application portfolio
  • Ensure that business lines are provided with the necessary support and that SLAs related to the different SAP platform modules are met, including restoring services in case of incidents and resolving underlying issues as needed
  • Be involved in the definition of target technologies and systems and a roadmap for all solutions based on the SAP platform
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement to ensure high performance solutions, efficiency and engaging user experience
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate and apply bank standards
  • Define and monitor applications by ensuring sound application management by ensuring the resilience of its assets/business capacity and services by doing proactive monitoring, reducing incidents and expediting problem resolution to minimize customer impact.
  • Understand and master all stages of the management cycle and ensure performance management
  • Assist/guide employees in their career paths
  • Value a culture of learning, team engagement, continuous improvement and recognition within your team
  • Advise and help managers and colleagues to define and improve performance indicators (KPIs) and the tools involved in order to understand the overall health of the SAP platform, both from a technological and an application perspective.

The IT and Operations sector is made up of more than 5,500 experts who work in an agile, proactive and collaborative manner to seize opportunities, stay on top of technology and continuously improve processes.

Within the sector, you report to the Senior Manager – ECM Domain and SAP Platform. Our team stands out for its commitment to make the SAP platform and the Bank’s document management tools stable and efficient, as well as ensuring and evolving processes with the objective of generating efficiency.

Prerequisites

  • Industry-related Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree with approximately 8 to 10 years of relevant experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in an SAP capacity
  • Fluent in French and English (speaking and writing)
  • Ability to communicate and negotiate with suppliers
  • Experience in an IT leadership role for multidisciplinary teams in an agile delivery environment
  • Experience in managing the IT asset portfolio’s lifecycle, availability, operational support and associated budgets
  • Ability to manage multiple partners simultaneously
  • Experience in people management and project management
  • Deep understanding of the application development cycle, DevSecOps tools, and agile methods, SAFe for delivery and operational support
  • Proven experience in technology infrastructure management and application development
  • Be recognized as a disciplined and proactive person
  • Knowledge of the different SAP solution modules including CRM, PI, BTP, SAC, DataSphere, S/4HANA, Solution Manager, ATC and BW
  • Knowledge of Office, Jira and PowerBI tools, an asset
  • Knowledge of banking environment and related technologies, an asset.
