A career as an Associate in the Operational Business Strategies, Resilience, and Risk Management team at National Bank means supporting the business line in identifying, assessing, monitoring, and managing its operational risks by deploying an efficient, practical, and tailored approach that considers the specific context of Financial Markets. Your Job

  • Maintain and optimize the third-party risk management framework for the Financial Markets sector
  • Assist the business line in the management of third-party agreements with the various suppliers that support the activities of the Financial Markets sector
  • Maintain contractual governance by applying industry best practices in third-party management while deploying a methodology to regularly assess the health of the portfolio for the Financial Markets sector
  • Optimize supplier performance in alignment with the Bank's objectives
  • Organize and lead roundtables with different partners to assess the risk posture of the service providers
  • Perform due diligence reviews
  • Develop and maintain a professional relationship of trust with Financial Markets leaders and the sectors that support their activities


Your Team

This position reports to the Director, Operational Business Strategies, Resilience and Risk Management in the Financial Markets sector. You will be part of a large team of twenty colleagues in the Operational Business Strategies, Resilience and Risk Management sector. Our team stands out for its dynamism, agility, and its knowledge of Financial Market activities and sub-processes that support these activities.

Our team of professionals is dedicated to managing risk. We work closely with several partners at the Bank and covers all Financial Market sectors including our foreign centers. Numerous development opportunities will be available to you including access to colleagues with a wide range of expertise, experience, and backgrounds to enrich all aspects of your development.


This position will be based in Montreal or Toronto.


Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 7 to 10 years relevant experience
  • Experience in third-party risk management desirable
  • In-depth knowledge of the Financial Markets sector and the sectors supporting their activities
  • Possess sound judgment
  • Propensity to offer efficient and quality service to business partners
  • Proactive, leadership and initiative
  • Ability to manage priorities and a large volume of requests

Languages:
English, French
