A career as a Senior Functional and Data Analyst means taking on a key role in National Bank's technological transformation, to analyze, optimize and evolve business applications and information systems, while working closely with a multidisciplinary team.
This role allows you to actively contribute to our organization through your understanding of user needs, requirements management, and process analysis to ensure functional consistency of the solutions implemented.

Your job

  • Ensure data quality and integrity, including data evolution management (Slowly Changing Dimension (SCD) vs. Snapshot)
  • Translate needs into functional requirements and maintain documentation (use cases, diagrams)
  • Analyze and produce complex SQL queries to support the accounting team
  • Respond to changing needs, ad hoc requests, resolve technical issues, and offer reliable support to ensure the integrity of the data consumed by the accounting team
  • Collaborate with the various stakeholders (technical teams, projects, architecture, analysts and production support) to ensure the quality of deliverables and the performance of data delivery processes
  • Actively participate in corporate projects and optimize data processing.

Within the IT Delivery Management Corporate Services sector in Finance, you will be part of a large team of 6 colleagues and you will report to the Application Director. Our team stands out for its level of maturity, experience and knowledge of the business sector.

Prerequisites

  • Computer science degree or equivalent, with 5+ years of experience as a functional analyst (banking environment preferred)
  • 5 years of experience in functional analysis and excellent command of SQL
  • Good understanding of complex data structures, relational models, and data warehouses
  • Knowledge of relational databases (mandatory); Oracle and Datastage (assets)
  • Data integration and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Atlassian tools (Jira, Xray, Confluence)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to evolve in a changing environment.
