A career as a Receptionist at National Bank is to act as the first point of contact in Corporate & Investment Banking, to warmly welcome our clients, guests, and colleagues. As an ambassador of the company corporate image, you will also be a key partner to our Executive Assistants in carrying out various tasks with collaboration, excellence, enthusiasm, and commitment to help our executive and administrative teams in National Bank Financial Markets optimize time and ultimately facilitate the achievement of business line objectives.  

Your job: 

  • Warmly greet clients, guests, and employees in a welcoming nature and act as a liaison between our corporate clients and employees of the Bank with the utmost professionalism 
  • Ensure sound management of the reception area and meeting rooms: coordinate and monitor meeting room reservations, serving beverages/coordinating meals as needed, and assisting with audiovisual/technical and administrative requests 
  • Lead the interns onboarding and offboarding 
  • Help arrange closing dinners, lunch & learns, and other client or employee events 
  • Assist our internal teams with coordination of catering/deliveries, donations and sponsorships, invoices in SAP Ariba, business travel arrangements, calendar management, expense reports in Concur, and other related tasks as needed 
  • Assist with licenses management, subscriptions, and contracts with our vendors/suppliers 
  • Oversee kitchen maintenance and manage office/paper supplies inventory; order and replenish when necessary 
  • Participate in activities related to onboarding and offboarding of employees  

 

Your team: 

 

You will be based in Calgary and work with a team of over 60 Corporate and Investment Banking professionals. You will collaborate closely with a team of Executive Assistants and Coordinators and report to the Section Manager, Corporate and Investment Banking.   

 

This position requires you to be present in the workplace fulltime to fulfill our client and operational needs.  Basic requirements :

  • Hold a high school diploma and at least 3 years of relevant experience; college or professional diploma or the academic equivalent related to the sector of activity an asset 
  • Interpersonal skills, positive attitude, excellent organizational and communication skills 
  • Provide excellent customer service and attention to details 
  • Ability to work well under pressure and deal with urgent situations to adapt quickly 
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneNote, OneDrive, etc.)
